Live Event: What Makes Buddhism Buddhist?

Our April Live Event With Thomas Calobrisi

What Makes Buddhism Buddhist?

What makes something Buddhist? Can flower arranging be Buddhist? What about basketball? In this presentation, we will explore these questions by looking at how Buddhists have incorporated stories from broader Indian and Chinese cultures into foundational narratives. By showing how things become Buddhist, we can see with a new perspective what it means to be Buddhist, allowing us to more effectively navigate conversations around authenticity, tradition, and culture in our communities.

This event was held live via Zoom on April 9th.
