Get to Know Amida Buddha (Part 2): Awakening Manifesting in Form - Hosted by Jon Turner Sensei

Join us for a live look inside Everyday Buddhist! Together, we'll watch and discuss the second video in our "Understanding | Amida Buddha" guided exploration. We'll trace how the word "Buddha" changed over time — starting as a description, then becoming a name for one historical person, and eventually opening into something bigger: not just a who, but a what. Amida Buddha points to the very reality that moved Shakyamuni to seek awakening in the first place. We may not have access to the historical Buddha anymore, but that same truth is still alive and available to us, right in the middle of everyday life. We'll also talk about how Buddhist statues across traditions were never meant as historical snapshots — they're pointing toward something deeper: a spiritual truth meant to be felt, not just viewed. Come be part of the conversation! It's a chance to connect with fellow practitioners and explore these ideas together.

This event will be held live via Zoom on September 25th at 2pm Pacific Time (PT).
